I am excited to be able to update you briefly on what our amazing team has been blessed and privileged to do this week in Limpopo. Due to the busy days and nights, along with limited Internet, postings have been scarce, but please keep checking in the next few days as I will be posting each days events and The blessings God has provided for us here on this journey.
God is surely at work in the people's lives here in the villages we have been working In. This week we have had the privilege to see Gods beautiful creation in the bush, with elephants, rhinos, and hippos within arms reach, we have been able to walk with cheetahs, we have been able to minister to grown adults who have never heard of Jesus and pray over the sick and poor. But the bulk of our week has been devoted to serving and loving on the children of Ramaroka and starting the construction of a new church building. The village in Ramaroka does not even have a building for a church. Not one. Some people have never even heard of Jesus. The team has had the honor of playing, teaching, and loving on the hundreds of orphans of this beautiful, hand crafted place of God.
The team has been overcome with emotions; crying and loving on each other as we process the works of God we are witnessing. We have grown with each other. We have become a family.
Each child has stole a piece of our hearts and Africa will forever hold a place in all of ours.
With every smile we see, we see Jesus. We see Jesus in the faces of all the beautiful children surrounding us each day.
These children have no parents. No one to come home to, nobody to say I love you, nobody to teach them how to tie their shoes, nobody to show them how follow Jesus. Every move that we make, hundreds of eyes gaze back at us. We are imprinting, making an impression on the young people here. God is using us to show them the way, the only way, the way to Jesus.
Simple relay races are treasured and loved by these kids, stickers and paper crowns are held on to so tightly. Most of the kids have never smiled for a picture. They don't have mirrors and most have never had one to show them what a smile means.
Marking our last day of this program, I am proud to say that all the children are smiling. They are smiling and filled with God's joy. They have hope and you can see it in their beautiful, big, brown eyes.
We were meant to be courageous. Courageous and bold in the name of Jesus. Our team has learned that through serving we are all able to lose our lives. We believe we must lose our lives in order to gain what Jesus has promised; everlasting hope and His grace, mercy, and love.
Day by day, the orphans and people of Africa have given us more than we could ever begin to explain. They have given us all the honor and blessings of being able to be used for the glory of God.
We have truly experienced heaven on earth. We thank you Jesus and we love you more than words can fathom.
We love you friends and family and we are looking forward to spending another day in Ramaroka.
Looking toward to sharing and testifying on behalf of our Lord and our Heavenly Father.
Blessings and sending love your way,
Meghann, Robyn and Chris, Doug and sandy, Tim, Stacy,Tomecio, Meri, and Susan.
